Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and active Texas SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to maintain and submit weekly timelogs for administration
- Comfortable supporting students across diverse elementary and secondary settings
- Professional communication and collaborative approach with educators and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy to students, following IEP goals and district procedures
- Manage an assigned caseload, usually at one school but occasional coverage at a second site may be required
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and write clear, actionable reports
- Maintain accurate records and data in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Uphold district standards regarding attendance, ensuring accurate documentation of time worked
- Foster a positive and encouraging therapeutic environment for students of varying ages and abilities
