Speech Language Pathologist in Des Plaines, IL

The position is part-time, requiring a commitment of 2 to 2.5 days per week, with manageable hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active professional licensure in Illinois (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Proven experience working with young children in educational settings
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to tailor interventions for early childhood developmental stages
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and direct therapy sessions for PreK and Kindergarten students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on speech, language, and communication goals
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute meaningful recommendations to support student needs
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state and district regulations
- Provide consultative support and recommendations for classroom modifications and strategies
