School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Arlington Heights, Illinois

Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Experience assessing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in children, ideally in a school setting
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to PreK and Kindergarten students
- Conduct assessments, develop goals, and track progress
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to support student growth and generalization of skills
- Create and maintain detailed records and progress notes, in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize creative approaches to keep therapy sessions fun and motivating for young children
