School Speech Language Pathologist - Denton, Maryland

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology support to PreK-5th grade students in a welcoming elementary environment. This full-time assignment is situated near Denton, MD, for the upcoming academic year, with onsite presence preferred—though virtual options are open to qualified candidates. You'll deliver approximately 60 service hours monthly, working closely with students, educators, and families to help children develop the communication skills they need to succeed.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current and active SLP-CCC licensure in the state of Maryland
- Experience working in Maryland school systems is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated skills in school-based speech-language pathology, both onsite and through teletherapy
- Comfortable serving elementary-aged students (PreK–5th grade)
- Ability to manage caseloads and deliver robust SLP services per student needs and IEP requirements
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide direct speech, language, and communication therapy to elementary students
- Work as part of the IEP team, contribute to meetings, complete assessments, and develop appropriate treatment goals
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes, following district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student growth and success
- Flexibly serve onsite (preferred) and virtually as necessary, meeting each child’s needs
