School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Decatur, Georgia
Make a difference in the educational journey of elementary students by providing essential speech-language therapy services in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity allows you to work on-site alongside passionate educators and other specialists, impacting students’ communication skills and overall academic success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Georgia SLP license or GaPSC certification (one required to start, both needed ultimately)
- Open to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLAs) with appropriate GaPSC certification
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Clinical Fellowship equivalent
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows welcome
- Strong commitment to fostering student growth and achievement
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with staff and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students
- Conduct thorough evaluations, develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on students’ needs
- Engage and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each student’s communication development
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations and school policies related to speech-language services
This position offers a consistent 37.5 hour work week in a dynamic, student-focused school environment near Decatur, GA. Contract will run through the end of May 2027, offering job stability and opportunities to build valuable school-based experience.
