Qualifications:
- Current active Georgia SLP License or GaPSC Certificate (either is acceptable to start; both will be required eventually)
- Accepting SLPs with CCC, CF, as well as SLAs certified through GaPSC
- Experience in school settings, especially at the elementary level, is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to create individualized strategies and document student progress
- Commitment to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to elementary students, focusing on individualized education plan (IEP) goals
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with teachers and staff to integrate speech/language interventions into the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and student evaluations
- Consistently monitor and document student progress while adjusting interventions as needed
- Serve as a resource for families and staff regarding communication disorders
You’ll enjoy the security of a long-term contract running through May 2027, consistency in your schedule with 37.5 hours per week, and the satisfaction that comes with supporting young learners' communication development.
