School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Covington, Georgia

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Possess an active Georgia SLP License or valid GaPSC certification (one required initially; both needed eventually)
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CF) and licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLAs with GaPSC certification)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred, but Clinical Fellows welcome
- Experience in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and IEPs in coordination with the multidisciplinary team
- Deliver engaging one-on-one and group therapy sessions onsite in an elementary school
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to support holistic student development
- Participate in IEP meetings and strategy planning
- Utilize evidence-based practices to maximize student outcomes
