Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in school-based settings is highly valued
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain detailed weekly timelogs for time approval
- Willingness to work onsite at one or possibly two district campuses
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services for students across grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct thorough assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
- Serve one, or occasionally two, campuses within the district (potential sites include Desoto High, Woodridge Elementary, Frank Moats Elementary, Amber Terrace Early Childhood, and Meadows Elementary)
- Empower students to achieve communication goals and access their education successfully
- Report regularly to district leadership and maintain open lines of communication
