Make a difference in the lives of students by providing speech-language therapy in a dynamic school setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students across two high schools and one elementary school within their life skills programming for the upcoming academic year, from September 8, 2026, through June 17, 2027. The position requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, with time evenly split between two campuses.
Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license and CCC-SLP certification
- Background in school-based SLP roles
- Experience with feeding/swallowing (safe eating) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is preferred, but training is available for motivated clinicians
- Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 33 students, focusing on life skills, speech, and language needs
- Strong collaboration and independent work skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse communication and functional needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy and support to students in life skills programs, focusing on functional communication, safe eating, and AAC
- Collaborate with special education staff, paraprofessionals, and other support teams on site
- Provide services in both high school and elementary school settings, adapting approaches to each environment
- Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and communicate effectively with families and fellow professionals
- Receive virtual and monthly in-person support from an established SLP team, as well as hands-on assistance from on-site staff
