Step into a meaningful contract position supporting students’ communication and life skills in a dynamic school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time opportunity spans two high schools and one elementary school, providing a balanced weekly schedule between two specialized campuses.
Your role will involve working closely with about 33 students, many engaged in life skills programming. This position favors candidates with experience in feeding and swallowing (safe eating) and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC), but training is available for motivated speech-language pathologists eager to expand their expertise. You’ll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, enjoying both independence and strong support—from paraprofessionals onsite to virtual and monthly SLP team check-ins.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active ASHA CCC-SLP certification
- State licensure (or eligibility) for SLP services in school settings
- Background or strong interest in life skills, AAC, feeding, and swallowing practices
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational abilities
- Adaptability and self-motivation for split-campus work
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech/language and communication therapy to students with varied needs
- Assess, develop, and execute individualized educational plans
- Contribute to IEP teams and provide insightful input for student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development
- Track progress, maintain thorough documentation, and communicate with families and staff
