Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Cottage Grove, OR

This full-time contract role, running from September 8, 2026, through June 17, 2027, places you in a dynamic environment supporting both high school and elementary-aged students within their life skills programs. Enjoy a diverse workweek—spending half your time at a setting with a focus on special education and the other half assisting students as they build social skills.
You’ll work independently across two sites with the backing of a collaborative team that includes monthly SLP meetings and in-person support from paraeducators, special education colleagues, and assistants. A caseload of approximately 33 students will keep your days varied and impactful, as you work closely with those needing feeding and swallowing (safe eating) and assistive technology (AAC) support. While direct experience in these areas is valued, passionate clinicians open to training are more than welcome.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- Valid SLP-CCC credential (or eligible)
- Previous school-based SLP experience is valued, especially with feeding/swallowing and AAC, but training is available
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in various K-12 environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services to students across high school and elementary settings
- Develop and implement individualized education plans
- Collaborate with educational teams, families, and related service providers
- Track progress and maintain accurate records
