Essential Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the state of Illinois
- Completion of the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois is mandatory
- Experience or interest in working in a school setting—especially with low incidence populations
- Strong collaboration and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to K-5th grade students within a Low Incidence Program
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans targeting students’ specific communication needs
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and parents to create a supportive, inclusive environment for students
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing your expertise to multi-disciplinary teams
- Employ evidence-based practices and adapt interventions as needed to maximize student engagement and growth
