Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Park Ridge, Illinois
A full-time opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist in Park Ridge, IL, serving K-12 students in a school setting. This contract-to-hire position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, with 35 hours per week dedicated to delivering specialized speech-language services to a diverse caseload within the educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language impairments
- Provide direct therapy services to students across the K-12 spectrum, utilizing evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate progress effectively
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school-based settings
- Skills in teletherapy are a plus, enhancing service delivery options
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload efficiently
