Speech Language Pathologist in Chicopee, MA
Embark on an impactful contract opportunity supporting K-12 students with speech and language needs in a dynamic, districtwide setting near Chicopee, MA. This role welcomes both full-time and part-time applicants, offering flexibility through mid-June 2027 with an immediate start date. As a key contributor to the speech-language team, you’ll focus on evaluations, report writing, and IEP meeting presentations, while collaborating with SLPAs who provide the majority of direct student services.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts SLP CCC certification required
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, documentation, and IEP development
- Confident communicator able to collaborate with teams, families, and administrators
- Committed to evidence-based and student-centered practices
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations across K-12 grades
- Prepare detailed reports and present recommendations at IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with SLPAs and oversee delivery of direct/indirect services
- Coordinate with teachers and staff to develop and implement therapy goals
- Maintain accurate, timely student records in compliance with district standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
