Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Chicago, IL

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience within schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Skilled in conducting comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Comfortable with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities with staff, families, and caregivers
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation standards in educational settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to determine student needs
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to each child
- Deliver direct therapy, both in-person and via teletherapy, as required
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations
- Maintain accurate therapy records and documentation in compliance with school requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote student progress
- Offer guidance and resources to support communication development in various learning environments
