Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid SLP license for the state, or eligibility for Connecticut licensure
- Accepting both Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and SLPs with CCC
- Strong clinical assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Experience or genuine interest in supporting high school-aged students, particularly seniors
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and a collaborative work style
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for 12th-grade students
- Develop and deliver tailored therapy sessions addressing communication, language, and social-pragmatic needs
- Work alongside teachers and support staff, providing strategies and recommendations to enhance classroom communication
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress monitoring
- Maintain thorough records while ensuring compliance with district and state standards
- Communicate regularly with families to foster consistent support for each student
