Requirements and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with intention to pursue ASHA Certification
- West Virginia licensure (or eligibility) for speech-language pathology
- Strong foundational knowledge in evaluating and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in the school setting
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing student needs and school schedules
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with teachers, families, and other support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders
- Conduct speech and language assessments, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize students' success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based decision-making
- Receive dedicated supervision and mentorship as you navigate your CFY
