Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in educational settings, particularly working with school-aged children
- Proficiency in delivering teletherapy sessions a strong plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders among students
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs, including direct and virtual (teletherapy) services
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state standards
- Provide consultation and support to educators, parents, and caregivers on speech and language strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student goals
- Stay informed on current best practices in speech therapy and teletherapy modalities
