The assignment is available immediately and involves working five days per week with preschool-aged students, collaborating with the Preschool Assessment Team, and providing specialized services to students in Mild Moderate SDC (Special Day Class) for grades 1 and 2.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Speech-Language Pathology certification and licensure
- Previous experience in school settings, particularly with early childhood or preschool-age students
- Familiarity with Mild to Moderate SDC environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create and implement developmentally appropriate therapy plans
- Dedication to supporting a positive learning environment for all students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to preschool students
- Participate actively on the Preschool Assessment Team to help assess and identify student needs
- Serve students in Mild Moderate 1-2 SDC, adapting approaches to individual IEPs
- Document student progress, maintain records, and communicate with staff and families
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop strategies and interventions
- Contribute to IEP meetings and goal setting
- Stay current with best practices in the field and attend required trainings or meetings
