School Speech Language Pathologist - Brooklyn, New York

Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state SLP licensure (or eligibility)
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
- Knowledge and experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Comfortable working with students who have moderate to severe intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Collaborative team player, eager to consult with educators and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver group and individualized speech and language therapy sessions to meet IEP goals
- Assess, develop, and implement AAC strategies for non-verbal and minimally verbal students
- Work alongside education teams to design and adapt communication supports in the classroom
- Prepare documentation for student progress, evaluations, and meetings
- Engage in regular communication with families, teachers, and related service providers
The schedule runs weekdays from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, offering a clear structure with your evenings free.
