School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - New Rochelle, New York
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing essential support to elementary students. This contract role is based near New Rochelle, NY, running from ASAP through June 25th. With a focus on educational impact, you'll deliver targeted speech and language intervention in a vibrant school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct 28 speech/language sessions weekly, each lasting 30 minutes, focusing on student communication goals
- Work directly with elementary-aged children, addressing a range of speech and language challenges
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in line with students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support students’ progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance, session attendance, and treatment outcomes
- Contribute to team meetings, parent conferences, and progress discussions as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license required for New York
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
