Step into a vital role supporting students’ communication needs as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2024-2027 school years. This opportunity offers a vibrant and collaborative environment, where you’ll contribute to the growth and success of children and adolescents. Multiple openings are available, including two full-time positions (elementary level) and one part-time (.8 FTE) position (high school level). All roles are in-person, fostering rich interactions within school communities.

What you’ll need to bring:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid WA SLP License and ESA certification
  • Completion of fingerprinting through OSPI
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an educational team
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy and assessment services to students with a wide range of speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal requirements, ensuring thorough and accurate documentation
  • Consult and partner with teachers, families, and support staff to promote generalization of skills
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed for optimal outcomes
  • Participate in eligibility determination meetings, parent conferences, and staff meetings
