Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Bethany, Connecticut
Make a meaningful impact working with PreK-6th grade students by providing speech-language services in a supportive educational environment near Bethany, CT. This contract opportunity offers collaboration with a dedicated speech team, ensuring a manageable caseload and impactful interventions for students with a variety of needs, including those utilizing AAC and presenting with diagnoses from Autism Spectrum Disorder to articulation challenges.
Your primary responsibilities will include delivering diagnostic and therapeutic speech and language services, collaborating with other school SLPs to divide and address the caseload, and tailoring interventions to individual student goals. With the support of experienced colleagues, you will engage in both direct and consultative services, contributing significantly to the growth and success of each child.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Connecticut SLP license required
- Experience or comfort working in schools and with pediatric populations
- CCC or CFY eligible candidates are welcome
- Strong understanding of AAC and a range of communication needs
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 25-30 students
- Collaborative and organized, with solid communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with diverse speech and language needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in conjunction with the educational team and families
- Work collaboratively with two other school SLPs to share expertise and resources
- Document progress and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Adapt therapy strategies for individual, small group, and whole classroom settings
This position begins as soon as possible and continues through June 2027, with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week). You’ll receive a competitive hourly rate between $50 and $55, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package including robust medical, dental, and vision coverage, a matching 401k, and a flexible spending account.
