Speech Language Pathologist in Belvidere, IL

Exciting opportunities are available for skilled Speech Language Pathologists in the Rockford, IL area for the upcoming school year! This contract position is perfect for experienced SLPs as well as recent graduates (CFY)—supervision will be provided. You’ll support elementary students on a manageable caseload (35-40 students) and enjoy a school-based work schedule while collaborating with educators in both general and special education settings, including work with students with ASD.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Illinois SLP licensure or eligibility
- CCC-SLP or CFY applicants welcome (supervision provided)
- Comfort working in both general and special education settings, including serving students with ASD
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, but new graduates with a solid clinical background are encouraged to apply
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain detailed and compliant records and progress reports
- Support students across general and special education classrooms
