Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Baltimore, Maryland
Step into an impactful contract opportunity serving students as an itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist. With assignments across multiple school locations near Baltimore, you’ll work in collaboration with educational teams to support students’ communication needs and help them achieve their educational goals. This position welcomes both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and experienced SLP-CCCs who are eager to provide both in-person and teletherapy services.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license for Maryland (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; applications from strong CFY candidates encouraged
- Pediatric or school-based SLP experience is beneficial
- Teletherapy experience a plus
- Comfort working with diverse caseloads and delivering services itinerantly
- Strong knowledge of IEPs and school documentation processes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized service plans in accordance with IEP requirements
- Deliver therapy sessions both face-to-face and via teletherapy platforms
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes
- Travel between assigned school locations (mileage reimbursed)
- Maintain thorough records, participate in IEP meetings, and complete required documentation
- Contribute to ongoing professional learning and stay current on best practices in school-based therapy
