School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Auburn, Washington

A contract Speech-Language Pathologist position is available for the 2026-2027 school year serving an early childhood caseload (birth to 5 years old). As a valued provider, you will collaborate with staff, families, and an SLPA to address speech and language needs across three school sites, guiding approximately 45 students. This is an onsite, 12-month role that promises both variety and purposeful engagement.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current SLP-CCC certification and eligibility for relevant state licensure
- Proven background working in school or early childhood settings
- Experience writing and implementing IEPs and IFSPs
- Previous service to Native American communities or a dedication to culturally responsive practices is highly valued
- Comfort and flexibility in traveling between multiple buildings
- Enthusiasm for serving students in diverse populations and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting screenings, evaluations, and direct therapy with early childhood students
- Developing individualized goals and intervention strategies
- Leading and collaborating on the formation and review of IEPs and IFSPs
- Consulting with families, teachers, and the onsite SLPA to support student progress
- Maintaining thorough records in compliance with local and federal guidelines
- Demonstrating professionalism and adaptability as credentialing and BIE processes may impact start dates
