Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a current, valid Virginia SLP license (VA SLP)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcomed
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in a school setting
- Proficiency in teletherapy methods and online platforms, if applying for virtual delivery
- Strong organization and multitasking abilities to effectively manage a caseload of 60
- A passion for fostering communication skills and positive outcomes for young learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to elementary-aged students, both onsite or remotely as available
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students’ speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams
- Consult and communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports per school and state requirements
- Adapt interventions to meet each student’s unique needs and goals
