Your main focus will be working with approximately 73 students, helping assess needs, provide interventions, and facilitate communication skills. With the potential to adjust the caseload as some students may be dismissed from services, you'll experience a manageable and dynamic workload throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license in North Carolina
- Experience working in school settings, either as an SLP or SLPA
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload, including elementary, middle, and high school students
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Collaborative approach to working with teachers, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and intervention services to students as directed by a supervising SLP
- Maintain detailed progress records, assist with documentation, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Travel between 2-3 schools within the same district/area as needed
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with educational team members and families
- Adapt therapy activities to the needs of each student, making adjustments as necessary
