School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Whittier, NC

This school-based role is ideal for an SLP or SLPA with previous experience working in educational settings. You'll serve a close-knit community across two to three schools, including elementary, middle, and high school levels, and make a meaningful impact for students seeking communication support.
In this full-time position, you’ll be responsible for a manageable caseload of 73 students, with an expectation to help several progress and potentially transition out of services as appropriate. Collaborate with educators and families, contributing your skills to create student-focused intervention plans and fostering communication growth across all grade levels.
Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license in North Carolina
- Prior experience in school-based settings as an SLP or SLPA
- Strong knowledge of best practices in speech, language, and fluency intervention
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfort coordinating care across multiple school sites (elementary, middle, and high school)
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech, language, voice, and fluency therapy to a diverse K-12 student caseload
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with IEP teams
- Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Communicate proactively with families, staff, and administrators
- Support evaluation and dismissal processes for students progressing out of services
