You’ll collaborate with an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist and a supportive educational team, providing services across two or three school sites, including elementary, middle, and high school environments. The caseload consists of approximately 73 students, with the anticipation of reducing numbers as several are evaluated for possible dismissal.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Active North Carolina SLPA license
- School-based experience as an SLP or SLPA (highly preferred)
- Strong ability to connect with students across various age groups
- Skilled in implementing IEP goals and providing direct therapy
- Effective communication and collaboration with educators, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and school environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services under the guidance of a licensed SLP
- Support students’ communication needs to promote academic and social success
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and student evaluations as needed
- Travel between 2–3 school sites (elementary, middle, and high) as assigned
- Engage with teachers and caregivers to reinforce communication strategies
This contract role is full-time, with a schedule of five days per week, seven hours per day, providing you the opportunity to immerse yourself in school life and make a tangible impact.
