Speech & Language Pathology Assistant in Usaf Academy, CO
A contract opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to provide essential support services in a school setting. This full-time, onsite position offers the chance to work with students ranging from PreK through 12th grade, delivering both direct and indirect speech-language support under professional supervision. The role emphasizes collaboration with educational teams and involvement in individualized education programs (IEPs).
Location:
- Onsite position in Limon, Colorado
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student speech and language needs
- Participate in IEP meetings to contribute to student educational planning
- Deliver direct speech-language services as well as indirect support across a diverse caseload
- Collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists to ensure compliance and effective interventions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification and experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), preferably in a school environment
- Ability to work effectively with students aged PreK-12
- Familiarity with educational settings and IEP processes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to maintain onsite presence for the duration of the contract
