Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Tyrone, PA

Make a positive impact supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school settings in a contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Collaborate closely with a teletherapy SLP to provide direct services to a diverse mix of learners—helping each find their voice and thrive within a supportive school environment.
You’ll enjoy a dynamic weekly schedule, traveling between three buildings to deliver both individual and group treatment sessions. The caseload is currently 41 students and may fluctuate. With a total of 55 thirty-minute sessions per week (16 individual, 37 group), you’ll bring continuity, encouragement, and expertise to every student interaction.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Active SLPA licensure in the state
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide services to mixed-age and diverse student populations across grade levels
- Comfort working in partnership with remote/telehealth clinicians
- Organizational skills to manage a rotating schedule and flexible caseload
- Ability to adapt and provide consistent care as student needs evolve
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy interventions as directed by the supervising teletherapy SLP
- Split time between elementary, middle, and high school sites according to caseload demands
- Conduct both individual and group sessions per student IEPs
- Maintain accurate session records and contribute to progress tracking
- Communicate regularly with supervising SLP and site staff to support student outcomes
This contract position is for 35 hours per week. Please note: The district is required to post this position internally at all times due to union policies and may provide notice if a direct hire is found.
