Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Clearfield, PA
Step into a dynamic, collaborative environment providing support as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a diverse student population. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to partner directly with a Tele SLP colleague, sharing a caseload spanning elementary, middle, and high school settings. You'll nurture communication skills across age groups, delivering meaningful impact in both one-on-one and group settings.
With a caseload currently at 41 students (subject to change), you'll work across three buildings, adapting your approach to meet varied needs. The role involves 55 thirty-minute treatment sessions each week, including 16 individual and 37 group sessions, ensuring a balanced and engaging schedule. The position is full-time, with a weekly commitment of 35 hours.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active SLPA certification required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Ability to manage responsibilities across multiple school locations
- Collaborative spirit—comfortable partnering with a Tele SLP and school teams
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility and organization to support shifting caseload needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students as directed by the supervising SLP
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions across elementary, middle, and high school
- Document student responses, progress, and treatment data accurately
- Collaborate regularly with the Tele SLP, teachers, and support staff
- Modify materials and activities to fit diverse student needs and settings
