To excel in this role, candidates must meet these qualifications:
- Hold an active Texas SLPA license, ready for immediate use (please submit a license screenshot with your application).
- Demonstrate proven school-based experience as an SLPA, with a record of delivering direct services.
- Be prepared and comfortable commuting between two campuses, with reliable transportation secured and the route confirmed.
- Be available for on-site work only; remote or hybrid arrangements are not offered.
- Able and willing to complete the HISD fingerprinting process within the first 3 days of contract signing.
- Ready to purchase a laptop for work (with reimbursement provided).
In this vital position, you will:
- Serve students at both designated high school and middle school campuses.
- Collaborate closely with educational staff and supervising SLPs to implement treatment plans.
- Support students’ communication, social, and academic goals through engaging therapy sessions.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and comply with district and state documentation requirements.
