Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Cypress, TX

Seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide support across two campuses in East Side Houston’s metro area. This contract assignment starts as soon as possible and runs through late May 2027. The opportunity is ideal for school-based professionals who are reliable, flexible, and ready to work on-site in dynamic educational environments. This is a front-line role with direct student impact.
Role Essentials:
- Maintain an active Texas SLPA license (must be in hand prior to starting)
- Previously demonstrated school-based experience as an SLPA
- Reliable transportation and willingness to commute between both Furr High School and Edison Middle School
- Comfortable confirming daily travel to both campuses
- Purchase of a laptop required; reimbursement will be provided
- Must successfully complete HISD fingerprinting at own cost within three days of signing the contract
- On-site presence required throughout the assignment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language support services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Collaborate with educators and staff to facilitate student progress and meet individual education goals
- Accurately document and report student performance, maintaining compliance with district and legal requirements
- Proactively communicate with team members regarding student needs, scheduling, and campus assignments
- Uphold professional standards of care and confidentiality in a school environment
