Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Cypress, TX

Step into an essential role supporting student communication and learning across several campuses on the east and northeast side of the Houston metro area. This contract opportunity seeks an experienced and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who is passionate about fostering student success in a vibrant school environment. You’ll collaborate with dedicated teams at three distinct campuses, providing vital speech-language services that make a lasting impact on young lives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possess an active Texas SLPA license (must have licensure in hand; supervision toward licensure is not provided)
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience in school-based settings as an SLPA
- Ability to provide documentation of school-based or HISD campus experience, if applicable
- Reliable transportation to commute to Furr High School, Edison Middle School, and Holland Middle School
- Commitment to fulfilling contract requirements on-site (remote work is not available)
- Willingness and availability to complete and pay for HISD fingerprinting within three days of contract signing
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language intervention to students under the guidance of supervising SLPs
- Foster collaborative partnerships with teachers, staff, and families for optimal student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records, document student progress, and assist with administrative duties as needed
- Adapt effectively to the unique needs of each assigned campus and its community
Additional Details:
- Candidates will need to purchase a laptop initially, which will be reimbursed
- This assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through late May 2027
