Exciting contract opportunity available for a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the Houston metro area. This role offers an immediate start and extends through late May 2027, supporting students at two campuses on the east side. The placement prioritizes candidates who are licensed, experienced in school settings, and can reliably commute to both sites.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLPA license in hand (must submit a screenshot with your application)
- School-based SLPA experience required
- Proven record of dependability and professionalism in educational environments
- Able to work onsite at both Furr High School and Edison Middle School
- Reliable personal transportation and confirmed ability to commute between both locations
- Willingness to complete and pay for HISD fingerprinting within three days of contract signing
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to students across both assigned campuses
- Collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and other staff to ensure students receive effective support
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
- Adapt to the unique schedules and demands of two campuses, ensuring timely arrival and effective service delivery
