Exciting opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) awaits in the vibrant Solana Beach region! This highly sought-after role covers two elementary campuses, serving grades PreK through 6th, and provides the stability of a long-term client relationship in a truly desirable location.
Responsibilities:
- Support speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist across two elementary schools
- Work directly with students, assisting with therapy activities, generalization of skills, and reinforcing communication strategies
- Document student progress and collaborate closely with teachers and support staff
- Prepare materials, maintain records, and adapt activities to support student IEP goals
- Attend scheduled meetings and participate in professional development as requested
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid California SLPA license required
- Experience in school-based settings or pediatric healthcare strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary educational team
- Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of elementary-aged children
Role Details:
- Full-time contract, approximately 30 hours per week
- Serving two elementary sites within a friendly, supportive school community
