Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current SLPA certification or license in California
- Prior experience working in schools is strongly preferred
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse student population
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
- Ability to collaborate with special education staff, general educators, families, and others
- Commitment to cultural competency and inclusivity in service delivery
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to students under the supervision of an SLP
- Assist with speech, language, and communication development activities
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Support the SLP in preparing therapy materials and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment, adapting to student needs
- Engage in ongoing professional collaboration with school teams
