Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Active state licensure or certification as an SLPA (or SLP)
- Previous experience working in a school setting, especially with special education or special day classrooms, is highly desirable
- Strong communication, collaboration, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to adapt activities and strategies for a range of student abilities and ages (elementary through high school)
- Open to travel and available for in-person work
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist or deliver speech-language therapy services in accordance with IEP goals and teacher collaboration
- Support with screening, assessment, and documentation under the guidance of an SLP (if SLPA)
- Provide intervention in both group and one-on-one settings
- Maintain meticulous records of student progress and report data as required
- Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Contribute positively to a multidisciplinary educational team
