We're seeking a dedicated professional with skills as an SLPA, SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or school-based SLPA to work onsite, engaging directly with K-6th grade learners in a structured and collaborative setting.
Key Details:
- Scheduled school year hours: 8:00am–3:30pm, Monday through Friday
- ESY (Extended School Year) program hours: 8:00am–2:30pm, Monday through Friday
- School year wraps up on May 29
- ESY session runs June 1 through June 29
- New school year for staff begins August 13
- Caseload features up to 5 classrooms, with a maximum of 6 students each (current enrollment is 22, with potential to increase slightly)
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Illinois licensure/certification as SLPA, SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or equivalent
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with classroom teams and families
- Commitment to supporting individualized student growth
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services according to student IEPs
- Provide direct therapy and support materials for K-6 students
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational staff
- Adapt interventions to meet student needs and foster communication skills
