Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary-age students in a vibrant, collaborative environment! We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology professional for a contract role located near Aurora, IL. The assignment is available for an immediate start, working closely with engaged students from Kindergarten through 6th grade in a supportive school setting.
Enjoy a manageable caseload, currently totaling 22 students (with potential to grow to 24), distributed across five classrooms, each with no more than six students. You’ll contribute meaningfully to students’ communication, language, and social development, fostering growth and success every day.
Requirements and Preferred Background:
- Credentials in one of the following: SLPA, SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY (with strong school-based interest)
- Experience or genuine interest in school-based speech therapy services
- Ability to work on-site, following school and district policies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Committed to fostering positive outcomes for children with diverse communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to K-6th grade students
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and caregivers to support student progress
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate actively in team meetings and ongoing professional development
Scheduling Details:
- Regular school year: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:30pm, ending May 29th
- Extended School Year (ESY): June 1-June 29, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-2:30pm
- School year 26-27 begins August 13th for staff
