Embark on a professionally rewarding contract assignment supporting students’ speech and language development in an educational setting. As a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you’ll work daily from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, collaborating with passionate educators and therapy teams to make a positive impact from now through June 6, 2025, including opportunities in both Extended School Year (ESY) and Next School Year (NSY) programs.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California SLPA license required
- Relevant experience in schools or healthcare settings
- Strong commitment to early childhood education; preschool and “littles” experience preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to engage students in small group and individualized sessions
- Adaptable to varied environments and student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language support in 20-30 minute group sessions (2-4 students per group)
- Deliver individualized 1:1 support for preschoolers and young children as assigned
- Implement therapy plans designed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Track and document student progress, maintaining detailed records
- Work closely with teaching staff and families to support holistic student growth
- Contribute to the positive, inclusive, and motivating school environment
