Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active SLPA certification or license in Illinois is required
- Experience in school-based or pediatric speech services preferred
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish is essential, allowing you to support diverse learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, students, and families
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced educational setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing speech-language therapy programs under the supervision of a certified SLP
- Support students’ communication goals via direct interventions and classroom activities
- Collect and document data on student progress and help prepare materials for therapy sessions
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging participation and growth
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and district protocols
