Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Mchenry, IL

Qualifications & Experience:
- Active SLPA certification or license required for Illinois
- Prior experience working in educational or pediatric settings preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish highly desired to better serve diverse student needs
- Strong communication skills with students, educators, and families
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary educational team
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language support to students, implementing therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist in developing and modifying instructional materials to support individual student goals
- Collect and document student progress data, ensuring ongoing communication with the supervising SLP and team
- Support classroom staff in implementing effective communication strategies
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all students
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school protocols and state regulations
