School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant | Madera, California
Make a meaningful difference supporting early learners as a contracted Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This position offers a chance to be embedded in an elementary school environment, working with students in transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. As a vital member of the educational team, your work directly supports students' growth and communication skills.
You'll collaborate closely with a skilled supervising SLP, ensuring consistent guidance and support. Potential candidates will have the opportunity to connect with the supervising SLP before placement, fostering compatibility and a strong professional partnership.
Key Requirements:
- Active and valid California SLPA license
- At least three months of experience as an SLPA (school-based experience a plus)
- Comfortable navigating caseloads within the elementary/TK-5 age group
- Bilingual Spanish abilities are highly valued, though not required
- Commitment to working full-time for the full school year
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students under SLP supervision
- Implement individualized therapy plans for elementary-aged students
- Collect and maintain data on student progress
- Provide support for both virtual and in-person therapy sessions as needed
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals
- Contribute to a collaborative, student-focused atmosphere
