Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Long Beach, CA

This full-time position spans 40 hours per week and begins as soon as possible, continuing through the end of the current school year.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active California state license as an SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant)
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience, ideally in a school or healthcare environment
- Comprehensive understanding of case management and therapy protocols for school-aged children
- Outstanding communication, organization, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to develop rapport and work collaboratively with students, teachers, and other professionals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct and indirect speech/language therapy services to students of varying needs and abilities
- Maintain accurate and thorough case management, including documentation, session notes, and progress tracking
- Work alongside supervising SLPs, educators, and families to develop and implement individualized communication plans
- Track student progress and adapt interventions as appropriate, ensuring compliance with IEP goals and state regulations
- Participate in team meetings as needed and communicate regularly with all relevant stakeholders
