School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Hayward, California

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) across multiple school sites near Hayward, CA. This full-time role allows you to make a meaningful impact during the 2026-2027 academic year, with the potential to extend into Extended School Year services. You'll work closely with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver high-quality intervention and support students' communication needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA licensure in California
- Recent experience or clinical placement in a school setting (K-12 preferred)
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Proficiency with educational IEP software such as Siras and/or AbleSpace a plus
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel between 2-3 school sites during the workweek
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of individualized speech and language therapy plans
- Provide direct and indirect services to students under supervision of a certified SLP
- Document student progress, prepare materials, and maintain data for IEP meetings
- Support students in both individual and group therapy sessions across a diverse caseload
- Collaborate with educators and families to reinforce communication goals
- Participate in team meetings and support compliance with educational best practices
Position Details:
- 7.5 hour workdays with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- School year assignment from August 10, 2026, to June 4, 2027—with ESY option available
- Serve students at 2-3 different school sites, providing variety in your daily routine
