You’ll work across 2-3 school sites, providing direct and consultative support under the guidance of credentialed speech-language pathologists, helping students reach their communication goals in a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
Desired Background and Experience:
- Active state licensure or authorization as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric speech therapy settings is highly valued
- Proficiency using Siras and/or AbleSpace IEP management systems, or the ability to quickly learn new technology
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented mindset and a passion for supporting diverse learners
- Ability to travel to multiple nearby school sites as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech-language intervention services to K-12 students, following established IEP goals and plans
- Collaborate closely with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other school professionals
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation of student progress in the Siras or AbleSpace system
- Participate in IEP meetings, multi-disciplinary team sessions, and professional development activities
- Support generalization of communication skills within classroom and school routines
You’ll enjoy a consistent weekly schedule: 7.5 hours per day (including an unpaid 30-minute lunch), for a total of 37.5 hours per week. Your assignment starts August 10, 2026 and continues through June 4, 2027, with the potential for additional extended school year work.
