Your primary responsibilities will include implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, delivering interventions, and documenting student progress. The district is also considering teletherapy as a backup option, adding an extra layer of flexibility.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Indiana licensure/credentials as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric therapy settings is preferred
- Ability to organize and track caseload documentation with attention to detail
- Compliance with state and district background check and clearance requirements
- Adaptability to shifting assignment locations and caseloads as district coverage needs change
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech/language services to students under SLP supervision
- Support the completion and implementation of IEP therapy goals
- Maintain accurate student records and maintain all required documentation
- Foster positive, productive relationships with students, educational staff, and families
- Participate in team meetings, student reviews, and ongoing professional development
