Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Fresno, CA

Make a difference in the lives of elementary students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on a contract basis. In this full-time, full-school-year opportunity, you’ll work with a supportive team and be supervised by an accomplished SLP through innovative virtual collaboration. Your caseload will consist of students in transitional kindergarten through fifth grade, giving you the chance to foster language development and communication skills at a foundational stage.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California SLPA license required
- Minimum of 3 months’ experience as an SLPA in school settings
- Experience with elementary (TK-5) caseloads strongly preferred
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, but not mandatory
- Willingness to connect with supervising SLP prior to placement to ensure strong collaboration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language services to elementary students, following IEP goals
- Implement therapy programs designed by the supervising SLP
- Collect data, maintain accurate records, and report on student progress
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support students’ academic and functional communication
- Support in maintaining compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in virtual supervision sessions and ongoing professional growth
