School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Fremont, California

As an Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) working in a school setting, you’ll play an essential role in supporting students’ speech and language development under the supervision of credentialed Speech-Language Pathologists. Both full-time (up to 35 hours per week) and part-time opportunities are available, with flexible scheduling for qualified candidates.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or equivalent
- Current California SLPA license in good standing
- Experience working with pre-K through 12th grade students preferred
- Practical understanding of speech and language disorders
- Ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and parents
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Reliable attendance and commitment to supporting students’ progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy support to students under SLP supervision
- Implement IEP goals and document session data
- Assist with screenings, assessments, and program materials
- Contribute to progress reports for students receiving speech services
- Adapt therapy strategies to meet individual student needs
- Participate in team and staff meetings as required
