Step into a rewarding opportunity serving students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a flexible hybrid position. This contract role offers a blend of on-site and remote work, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours during the school year. You’ll provide essential speech and language services to a diverse caseload of students ranging from early childhood through high school, helping them communicate effectively and succeed academically.
This position is structured so that you’ll spend three days weekly in the school environment conducting evaluations, direct therapy, and collaborating with the educational team. The other two days are remote, devoted to virtual therapy sessions, meetings, documentation, and planning from the comfort of your home. Assignment details may vary, as the number of schools will be determined prior to your start.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license issued by the state of Virginia
- Relevant school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively in both in-person and virtual settings
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Must initiate the Virginia Department of Social Services background check promptly
- Completion of TB Test in accordance with state requirements
- Degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders or related field; CCC-SLP highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students with speech and language needs, both on-site and remotely
- Complete evaluations, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation on services delivered and student outcomes
